Day Four - Divine Inscription

Isaiah 49:13-16 - "Sing for joy, O heavens! Rejoice, O earth! Burst into song, O mountains! For the LORD has comforted his people and will have compassion on them in their suffering. Yet Jerusalem says, "The LORD has deserted us; the Lord has forgotten us." Never! Can a mother forget her nursing child? Can she feel no love for the child she has borne? But even if that were possible, I would not forget you! See, I have written your name on the palms of my hands. Always in my mind is a picture of Jerusalem's walls in ruins."

God cares for us like a nursing mother caring for her baby - a 24-hours a day care. Her ears are tuned to the baby no matter what hour of the day it may be, and she quickly responds to the baby's needs. What do you do when you feel distant from God or feel like God has forgotten you? What do you do when you are faced with life's challenges and have to make a choice in how to face it? Remember that God loves you in this way, and rely on His love for you. Don't believe your emotions if it is contrary to what God says about Himself. Even if it were possible for a nursing mother to forget her baby, our Father will not forget us. He is keenly aware of where we are and how we are doing.

Responding to the Transmitted Message: If we realized how much God loved us, we would live differently. We would approach life differently. Let's pray that God will give us the power to understand how much He loves us (the full dimensions of His amazing love). Let's open up our hearts to receive this love. Let's receive it deep into our hearts.
